The song was recorded live. The sounds included in the performance are a conga sample, a bass sample created with a synthesizer, an audio file containing a foley I made with a 5 liter water bottle, an audio file containing my vocals, and a bass synthesizer with an arpeggiator. Except for the bass synthesizer, all of them are passed through a granular synthesizer called Granulator II, recorded and processed live. The mood that is aimed to be achieved in the performance is in an escape from something, but this escape is maintained in a continuous cycle. The electronic sounds used in the performance reflect the inner world of the person who is on the run. The conga sample represents the speed of the chasers and their distance from the person they are chasing. Wave sounds created by foley were used to indicate the environmental characteristics of the setting where the events took place. The repetition of breath sounds in vocals refers to the moments when the chased person gets tired and out of breath. It has been aimed to reflect that such an indefinite cycle situation can only be brought to an end by chaos, that as a result of chaos, positive or negative possibilities will decrease to zero and things will stop at once.
The work consists of recorded sounds of an old telephone. These sounds have been manipulated over the DAW to become what they are now. “telefon” is about a person waiting anxiously by the phone, and his moods were aimed to be reflected throughout the song.
